Social Justice Committee
The Committee meets monthly to study and act on social issues that affect our parish and community. Social services and community needs are addressed through direct assistance, education on issues and action for justice. The committee strives to work with groups within the parish, between parishes, and other faith communities. It supports and is involved with affordable housing, access to health care, tutoring at the jail, hunger issues, elder and child abuse, the Advent Jesse Tree, and Christmas in July and Thanksgiving Food Drives.

SHARE Colorado
(Self Help and Resource Exchange): SHARE functions on the concept that by working together, people can help themselves provide quality, nutritious food at low cost. Anyone can participate by purchasing a SHARE at regular price or a Junior SHARE and volunteer two hours of service. In return you receive food valued at 1 1/2 times what you would pay at the supermarket. Registration ordinarily is the first Sunday of each month in the Parish Hall, 8:30 a.m. to noon. Pickup day is on the fourth Saturday of the month at the Knights of Columbus Hall on Meldrum. A person/family may purchase more than one SHARE. St. Joseph is a distribution point in Fort Collins.

Emergency Assistance
The Parish Center is open Tuesday and Thursday afternoons to help families who are in danger of becoming homeless because of eviction or an unexpected emergency. Please call Parish Office for an appointment.

 Mary's Closet Clothing Bank
Donations are accepted of good, clean, used, seasonal clothing at the Parish Center during regular office hours. Clothing is distributed free to anyone in need. Volunteers operate this program on weekdays from 9:00 to 10:30A.M. and 1:00 to 2:30P.M.

Hospitality Center
Provides many forms of assistance (food, gas, and emergency housing) through volunteers and facilities of the Center.

Hospitality Kitchen
Provides hot meals and friendship to those who come on Saturday and Sunday, noon to 2:00P.M. Parishioners of Saint Joseph staff the kitchen and help on weekends. To volunteer, call 970-498-7396.

Hostel of Hospitality
Offers shelter from 7:00P.M. to 7:00A.M. each day. 970-493-0141.

Hope Job Bank
Helps people in need to secure day labor.
