Alex Rodriguez has had a tumultuos career in New York.  The New York media has unfairly criticized him. Most of this is because of his former 10 year $252 million contract with the opt-out clause for 2007. When he opted-out during game 4 of the World Series he was crucified. However, he has resigned for 10 more years at $30 million a year. This solidifies him in New York where he will win many World Series rings and break the all-time home run record (762) in pinstripes.
